How are people reacting to Obama's statement ';if you put lipstick on a pig, you still have a pig';?

Political statementHow are people reacting to Obama's statement ';if you put lipstick on a pig, you still have a pig';?
The McCain campaign is saying that Obama was referring to Palin with the comment. There鈥檚 no way that McCain is dumb enough to actually believe this.

The only other explanation for his reaction is that he thinks Americans ARE dumb enough to believe it.

Talk about insulting!

It's an old cliche. It's not like Obama invented the phrase. Besides, it's politics. Everybody is afraid to just come out and say what they're saying. As far as I'm concerned, if somebody doesn't explicitly say something in a political speech, I'm not going to pay too much attention to it.
Obama claims that he was not referring to Sarah Palin when he made the comment, but if you watch the expressions on the faces of the crowd behind him, they thought he was referring to Sarah Palin. You can see it written all over their faces.
The Democrats say it's a non-issue, he was referring to Bush, blah blah blah; the Republicans say it's sexism, he was referring to Palin, blah blah blah . .

zzzzz . .
McCain was talking about Hillary's health plan last November I believe and he used that exact phrase about her, I don't see what all the ruckus is with Obama using now. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Not to blindly accept the word of a politician, people are putting him to the test. Cosmetic sales have tripled since that statement.
If it wallows like a pig, and grunts like a pig .............
I think he could have been more creative. That is a very old cliche.
