it's not like i used it immediately right after after my friend - i know that oral herpes can indeed spread if used directly after - but she tried it on a about a day before, didn't like it, and then gave it to me. I don't even know if she has herpes but I have a mysterious cut @ the outer edge of my lower lip. yes you can get herpes. you are not supposed to use other peoples lipstick. cold sores are forms of herpes. Chances are you are immune to the more violent outbreak, most people are and have cold sores, although don't push it. the stress of the event triggered a cold sore, unless you just have dry cracked lips.
I am allergic to many lip balms, or they just don't work. Victoria secret balm works well, I use a compactable lip brush to put it on.
A cut is not herpes, you probably bit your lip.
If you want to keep the lipstick, I would get a tissue, or something and wipe down the outer layer. I don't know , you might also be able to alcohol the outer layer also, might be worth a try.Can i get oral herpes from used lipstick?
