What color eyeshadow would you wear with red lipstick?

I have no idea what color eyeshadow works best with red lipstick...any ideas? Thanks! :)What color eyeshadow would you wear with red lipstick?
I wear red lipstick a lot and apply a very light gold eyeshadow most of the time. A nude eye looks best with red lipstick but that also depends on what kind of red lipstick you are wearing.





If it's a matte red - light copper or gold eye shadow


Satin finish - a matte nude eye shadow with a hint of shimmer


Glossy finish - a slightly smudged black/browneyeliner is more than enough!





If you want to look more dramatic, combine a medium red lipstick with brown/gold eyeshadow and black liquid eyeliner!What color eyeshadow would you wear with red lipstick?
I would wear something neutral, like a shade tan, beige, brown, bone, or even none. Generally, the shade I wear is Tapestry Taupe by CoverGirl. If I'm wearing red lipstick, I apply it VERY lightly. If I'm wearing nude gloss or lipstick, I apply it a little darker.
You can wear a smoky black color, pick, or a light brown color. You can compare colors on what looks good with you lipstick, good luck.
Don't wear any eye shadow with red lipstick.





As a general rule: When wearing heavy eye makeup, go very light on the lips, when wearing heavy color on the lips, go light on the eyes.





If you have both heavily done, you'll end up looking like a clown. That's not good, unless of course, you're a clown.
why would you wear red lipstick?? hopefully for halloween right? Go with a color that compliments your eyes, what color eye do you have? That might help/.
Go with something less dramatic like a neutral color so the attention will be focused on your lips.

Don't worry about matching your lipstick with your eye shadow. In all honesty they aren't really supposed to match. Pick colours that go with your face, your own colouring. If red lipstick suits you then you can probably get away with a lot of bright shades, pick out a colour from your outfit and go with that.
Very pale. If you are going dramatic with the lips, don't go heavy on the eyes.
I like MAC colors. But i suggest any color will do! ilike smokey black.
None. Either have dramatic eyes OR lips-not both. Plus, Red is pretty hard to pull off.
nude and bare... nothing or beige... Your lips beg for all the attention. maybe some mascara. the point of red lipstick is to bring ALL the attention to your kisser... Play up one, never both...
Nothing dramatic. Maybe a beige or a gold, any bright color of eyeshadow plus red lipstick will make you look like you're in the circus.
i use pink!
